More Crowded, The Better For Mobile Sales

A new study shows that commuters are more likely to buy mobile coupons if they are squeezed in with their fellow travelers, reports Steven Perlberg. The study, “Mobile Crowdsensing,” found that as subway cars fill up, riders tend to immerse themselves more in their smartphones, thereby purchasing more coupons and promotions beamed to devices.
