Just about every publisher today is seeing an increasing amount of their traffic coming from mobile devices — often over 50 percent of their overall, in the case of sites like BuzzFeed, Glamour and CNN, reports Ricardo Bilton, noting that most publishers are seeing their desktop audiences grow, too, albeit at a much slower rate than mobile. According to publisher analytics service Chartbeat, Bilton writes, mobile consumption is, on the whole, complementing desktop.
