Axel Springer is putting up a fight on the mobile aggregation front with its own answer to initiatives like Facebook Instant Articles and Apple News. It’s called Upday, and Ken Doctor reports that it will have some advantages on its mid-March release, including coming pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy S, Note and Tablet products (where ad blockers won’t work). Upday will also create a royalty pool for publishers, giving them a small percentage of the ad revenue it earns.
