Unlike recent bots from the Washington Post or CNN, BuzzFeed’s BuzzBot will be primarily used for gathering news rather than promoting it, Benjamin Mullen reports. The bot, developed by BuzzFeed’s Open Lab, will ask convention-goers and protesters for photos or videos of their surroundings, which a team at BuzzFeed will then relay to reporters on the ground.
