Nielsen’s new Total Audience Report has shaken out at least one unintuitive surprise: more 18-34-year-olds — 90% of them — listen to radio each week compared to 80% using a smartphone weekly. Toni Fitzgerald reports that radio’s accessibility may be a factor.
